We’re hiring: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (with lunchtime supervision)At our happy, thriving and Outstanding school we require, to start in September 2025, a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who will work from 8.30am to 3.20pm, this includes lunchtime supervision. 32.5 hours a week, term time only, permanent positionSalary range: C3 – C5 FTE - £27,729 - £28,521 pro-rated (Actual salary £21,500 - £22,110)This exciting and rewarding role requires someone who is patient, flexible, a team player and who is able to show initiative in the classroom and playground and with groups/individuals. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting SEND children and being able to interpret a curriculum to support a child’s needs, whilst demonstrating patience, adaptability and empathy. Experience of working 1:1 with children with additional needs is also desirable.During the day the successful candidate will work alongside and under the guidance of class teachers and will be required to support a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities as well as varying sized groups of children, to facilitate the planned provision. At lunch times, the candidate will work alongside other teaching assistants to promote positive play experiences for all children.
