Temporary Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
Number of Hours Per Week: 32.5 Hours per week (Term time only) Salary: Grade 6 (£27,269 x 77.15%) Start Date: 1st September 2025
The Governing Body wishes to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work at Penrhys Primary School to complement our existing team on a temporary basis in the first instance. Penrhys Primary School is a happy, caring and community orientated school which is situated on Penrhys Estate. At Penrhys we place the wellbeing of our pupils and staff at the very centre of all that we do. We are an enthusiastic, committed and supportive team who always aim to follow our school motto- ‘The harder we try, the better we become’ The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of a team in a mixed age class. The class consists of pupils from Year 2, 3 and 4. If appointed the candidate will work closely with individual and small groups of pupils as they carousel through their set of well-planned daily activities. The successful candidate will need to be hard-working, reliable, enthusiastic, have a good sense of humour and excellent behaviour management skills. They will need the ability to work with pupils of a range of abilities and display patience and empathy throughout.

PROTECTING CHILDREN AND ADULTS AT RISK IS A CORE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SCHOOL AND COUNCIL.
