Science Teacher with SEN Experience Urgently Required

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school environment located near Lewes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs including SEMH.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons across a range of key stages, fostering a love of learning and promoting academic progress. A significant aspect of this role involves adapting teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Science to a variety of age groups.
  • Proven experience and expertise in working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • A strong understanding of different SEN conditions and effective strategies for support.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential due to the school's location.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
