Crynodeb

Government Skills, formally Government Skills and Curriculum unit, was created in 2020 to improve the coherence and quality of learning and development in government through better training, knowledge and networks. It is the backbone behind The Campus, a term used to unite all the locations, on and offline, where over 450,000 Civil Servants across Government develop the skills, knowledge and networks they need.

As we move into a new era under a new Government the aim is to reduce the cost of learning and improve the quality of outputs by moving to a new operating model. This is an exciting time of growth for Government Skills with new positions being created to support the future operating model.

The Executive Support Officers will play a vital role within the Government People Group's College for National Security (CfNS). Established to enhance the skills, knowledge, and networks of national security policymakers across the UK, CfNS operates with the support of 22 departments, agencies, and devolved administrations, addressing various security classifications. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to contribute to a strategic initiative that aims to improve national security responses.

The Executive Support Officers will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support and contributing to the efficient delivery of Agile programme management meetings and events. They will collaborate closely with communication, operations, finance, and strategy strands to ensure that CfNS adheres to best practices in health and safety, GDPR, and other relevant regulations. The role offers extensive opportunities to engage across government, including interactions with intelligence agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
