Our client, a leading specialist rail contractor, is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSQE Advisor to join their expanding team in Sheffield. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing safety and quality across diverse rail projects.
About the Role
As an HSQE Advisor, you'll be instrumental in embedding a robust safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations. You'll work closely with operational teams, providing expert guidance and support on everything from risk assessments and site inspections to incident investigations and training. Your proactive approach will be key in promoting continuous improvement and upholding the company's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of HSQE management systems.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and training sessions to promote best practices.
- Lead and assist with incident investigations, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Previous HSQE experience in a rail or construction environment (essential).
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential).
- Knowledge of Network Rail standards and RISQS requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
- PTS certification (desirable).
