Our team and the people we support
You'll become part of a friendly, welcoming team who supports three individuals with physical and learning disabilities in their own shared home. There's never a dull moment and no two days are ever the same.
You'll support each individual with all aspects of daily living, including meal preparation, personal care, finances, household chores and playing an active part in their local community. We'll also need you to be supportive and creative to support with their hobbies and interests which include arts & crafts, gardening, going out for walks and getting out and about in their local community.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
We are ideally looking for drivers for this opportunity as the people we support have their own mobility cars, but this isn’t a deal breaker for the right candidate.
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
A caring and compassionate attitude
The ability to work well in a team
Great communication and organisational skills
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support.
Confidence in the use of computers.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible shift patterns will usually fall into patterns between the hours of 0800-1500, 1530-2100 hours and 1500-1530 hours (includes a sleepover). Sleepovers, public holidays and weekends would be a requirement on a rotational basis.
Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of £100.80 per sleepover shift worked.
