Cost and Data Analyst
Location: Southampton
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Hybrid - 1 day per week working from home)

Our client, a global leader in their field, is seeking a meticulous and analytical Cost and Data Analyst to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to play a key role in supporting operational efficiency and compliance through data and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate cost estimations and analyses aligned with project budgets and timelines.
  • Perform comprehensive product comparisons to recommend optimal materials, equipment, or systems.
  • Review and interpret technical specifications and design documents to ensure feasibility and precision.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure cost-effective planning and execution.
  • Prepare clear and insightful reports and presentations summarising findings and recommendations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and standards.
  • Proactively create and manage visit schedules to support operational needs.
  • Monitor and update reporting systems, tracking pending items and planned visits.
  • Adjust scheduling based on availability and resource needs.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation for staff when arrangements are not handled by the client.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of cost estimation, financial analysis, and budgeting principles.
  • Experience in product or material comparisons for technical or operational purposes.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, or similar data and design software.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with technical drafting or black water systems is highly desirable.
