Overview
We are seeking an experienced Activities Co-ordinator to join our team in a supported living setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging and stimulating activities. The role is a 9am-5pm post, Monday through Friday with bank holidays as part of contracted leave.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and oversee a diverse range of activities for residents
- Develop and implement activity programs tailored to the interests and needs of residents
- Coordinate outings, events, and entertainment
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible to all residents
- Encourage and facilitate In-house activities catered to their individual abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident engagement
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Candidate must hold a full clean driving licence for insurance on the vehicle.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within assisted living, care homes, or nursing homes
- Knowledge of learning disabilities
- Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for residents to participate in activities
- Strong organisational skills to plan and execute a variety of engaging programs
Due to the nature of the role, we require someone who is able to walk considerable distances if needed. Considerable distances are not a daily part of the role, but walking to parks, coffee shops and supermarkets daily with clients will be. Candidates must be suitably fit/able to accommodate this task.
