About Us:

We are an expanding supported living business in Taunton dedicated to providing person-centred care and support to adults with learning disability and autism. Our focus is on empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. As we continue to grow, we are seeking compassionate and committed Support Workers to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

We are actively reviewing numerous referrals that we have received for our organisation to provide additional 1:1 support 24/7.
We are seeking to employ a minimum:
X2 day support workers

Our clients are all based on our central site in Taunton, so there is no need to travel to different locations. We provide a vehicle for activities and community access. We do not ask our employees to use their personal vehicles.

Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored care and support to adults with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities and mild mental health conditions. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, supporting clients in achieving their personal goals, and promoting their independence while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide person-centred care, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management.
Support clients in daily living tasks such as basic meal preparation, housekeeping, and managing appointments.
Assist clients in participating in social, educational, and recreational activities, both within the home and in the community.
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Monitor clients’ health and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes to the appropriate team members.
Build positive, trusting relationships with clients, respecting their dignity and promoting their autonomy.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The shift pattern is:
- Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday & Saturday, Sunday.
- Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. The shifts are 9am-9pm for days, and 9pm-9am for nights.

Requirements:
Experience in supporting adults with complex needs is desirable, though not essential as full training will be provided.
A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature, with a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and overnight as required.

A valid driver’s license is preferred but not essential.
