TeacherActive are excited to be working with a wonderful Primary School located in Abergavenny. The Primary School are committed to providing a positive learning environment where children are encouraged to reach their full potential in whatever they are doing. Pupil’s wellbeing is at the heart of the school and the staff ensure that the children come in happily and are bursting with enthusiasm about the learning experiences they have had throughout the day when they return home to parents. Staff provide a range of extra curriculum activities so that their talents outside of the curriculum can be developed.
The school is looking to take on a conscientious Teaching Assistant / TA on a long-term basis. The successful applicant will be working in the Foundation Phase, providing support to pupils in small groups and one to one. This will be a great opportunity to enhance your skills and gain experience to grow your CV.
The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:
• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA OR 6 months work experience in an educational establishment
• Ability to create valued relationships with pupils
• Excellent communication skills
• A high standard of classroom management
