Base71 is a bold new £10 million Youth Zone opening in 2026, offering young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 with additional needs) access to opportunities and support. We’re seeking a passionate Sports and Recreation Coordinator to lead inclusive, youth-led programmes across climbing, boxing, gym, pitch sports, and The Rec.
You’ll design and deliver engaging activities, inspire staff and volunteers, ensure safe practice, and promote health, wellbeing, and youth voice. With experience in youth sport, inclusivity, and team leadership, you’ll help shape Barnsley’s newest space for young people to grow and thrive.
