Materials Controller
Are you a organised, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to an efficient stock management team? We are looking for a dedicated Materials Controller to join a busy environment where accuracy and quality are essential. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a sharp eye for detail who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift truck (FLT).
Operating reach trucks to stock and pick bulk items accurately.
Booking goods in on Good Receipt Notes, checking materials against purchase orders for quality and quantity.
Performing quality checks using pin gauges, verniers, micrometres, tape measures, and other instruments.
Labelling products and recording stock locations after quality verification.
Picking orders carefully according to customer requirements, verifying batch numbers and quantities.
Packing orders with appropriate packaging, attaching dispatch labels, and preparing for collection.
Preparing export orders, including adding weights and dimensions to customer forms.
Maintaining stock levels at bin locations and recording changes in the system.
Managing packaging stock levels and placing orders when necessary.
Ensuring a clean and safe working environment and reporting any safety concerns.
Conducting regular inspections of FLTs, reach trucks, steps, racking, and factory areas.
Participating in annual stock takes.

Strong work ethic and committed to high standards in handling materials.
Logical planner with excellent organisational skills.
Conscientious with excellent attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively.
Experience with continuous improvement to help enhance operations.
Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
