About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, engaging, and well-qualified French Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wakefield. This full-time position begins in August 2025 and offers the opportunity to work in a setting where language learning is highly valued and modern foreign languages are embedded in the school culture.

Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Excellent subject knowledge and familiarity with national curriculum expectations
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging French lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Deliver creative schemes of work aligned to national standards
- Assess and track student progress effectively
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Support student's individual learning needs
- Prepare students for GCSE exams
- Participate in departmental planning and evaluation
- Contribute to wider school initiatives and extra-curricular clubs
- Maintain accurate student records and reports
- Encourage high expectations in learning and behaviour
