We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team in the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Unit at Weston Hospital as anAdmin and Clerical Officer.
The SDEC unit plays a vital role in providing prompt assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients who do not require overnight admission. As part of this fast-paced, forward-thinking service, you'll be at the heart of an innovative model of care that supports patient flow and reduces unnecessary hospital stays.
This is more than just an administrative role – it's a chance to be part of a team that’s shaping the future of emergency care. You’ll be working closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support the smooth running of the unit. From booking appointments and managing patient records to greeting patients and coordinating referrals, your role will be key in helping the unit deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, proactive, and able to stay calm under pressure. Strong IT and communication skills are essential, as is a flexible approach to working in a changing environment.

As the post holder you will provide a comprehensive, efficient and reliable administrative service working on reception.
This will also include maintenance of up-to-date patient records, updating appointment outcomes following clinic and liaising directly with clinical staff.
Full training will be provided within the team.
