Kilnbridge - one of the UK's leading civil engineering and construction specialists is currently seeking a Vehicle Technician with experience in a light commercial background.
The Vehicle Technician will be expected to work on a mixed fleet of VW, Ford, Nissan and Renault vans for a busy “In House” workshop. We have a multi bay facility with 2 lifts and an LGV Pit.
The vehicle Technician should have some experience with LGV and Plant will be a benefit as we also carry out running repairs to our LGV Fleet and Plant.
Vehicle Technician work pattern
Days: Mon-Fri
Hours: 10 hours per day
Overtime: in busy periods
Vehicle Technician Job summary
The Vehicle Technician will be expected to diagnose faults and conduct repairs on plant equipment and vehicles.
The Vehicle Technician will perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and hydraulic system checks.
Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Maintain accurate service records and reports.
Order parts and liaise with suppliers when necessary.
Routine Servicing of LCV Fleet.
Pre MOT Inspections of LCV Fleet.
Running defect repairs for LCV & LGV Fleet.
General fault diagnosis on LCV Fleet.
Stock Control of Workshop Consumables.
Maintain Service Record within our “In House” system.
Experience using Microsoft Office is desirable.
Experience in Plant Machinery desirable.
Work collaboratively with operators and other mechanics to minimize downtime.
