Job Title: Assistant Data Analyst
Ref: N Tyneside 5270988
Pay rate: £14.36 per hour PAYE
Office based in the first instance. Once up to speed the role can be a mixture of work and remote.
The role:
As an Assistant Data Analyst, you will support the Reward Analyst and Data Analyst to produce, analyse and report data using internal and external information and benchmarking.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake analysis of colleague data producing periodic reports
Undertake specific analysis and reporting including Gender, Ethnicity, Disability on a quarterly/annual basis as required
Respond to queries in a timely manner and prioritise requests
Support the wider HR team with information and advice on colleague related queries
Provide data and trend analysis on colleague activity and undertake ad hoc benchmarking for colleague related matters
Undertake data gathering and validation from various sources and engaging with Payroll to ensure alignment between HR and payroll data
Support the secure distribution and saving of files
Assist in project work to understand issues, develop potential solutions and evaluate the impact of the work
Provide data and information in support of briefings, whether verbal or in writing, to a high standard and on time
Contributing to the production of reports to Elected Members, such as Cabinet and officers, for example in the Leadership Forum
To maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What the client is looking for:
Analytically minded
Experienced user of Microsoft Office and particularly, Excel with knowledge of formulas and pivots
Ability to cleanse and interpret data
Capacity to share analysis and present data effectively to varying audiences
