Job Description
Working in a hybrid style, based at home and office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.Where the successful candidate is a current employee of a local authority, the post will be offered under the terms and conditions of Dundee City Council. Where the successful candidate is a current employee of an NHS employer the post will be offered under the terms and conditions of NHS Tayside. In the event that the successful candidate is not currently employed by a local authority or NHS employer, they will be given the choice of who will be the appropriate employer.

Requirements
You will be educated to degree level and/or demonstration equivalent work experience in a senior management role within a complex and publicly accountable organisation.Completion of a recognised leadership and/or management programme or extensive experience gained in roles supportive of the development of management expertise and leadership qualities is also required.
Responsibilities
This post will be responsible for leading the operational, strategic and professional management of a multifunctional range of services within the Health and Social Care Partnership. They will work collaboratively with the Head of Health & Community Care and Lead professional advisors (Lead Nurse, Lead AHP, CSWO) to ensure the delivery of services in accordance with statute, partnership policies professional imperatives and the requirements set by both the organisation guidance and external regulatory bodies.The portfolio of services areas will cover a range of service areas providing health and social care services to adults with a range of needs in their own homes and other primary and community care settings. This will include direct health and social work service delivery; commissioned and contracted services, strategic development, operational clinical and care practice and policy development and implementation. These service areas consist of a range of functions, services and teams.
The post holder will take responsibility for developing transformation plans and performance management frameworks to ensure delivery of all key activities, financial targets and transformational change programmes, ensuring alignment and consistency with DHSCP strategic intentions and strategic objectives. They will contribute to the formulation and delivery of the Health and Social Care Strategy and change programme.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate the highest level of interpersonal and communications skills given the need to communicate regularly with staff, the public and others.
The Individual
You will have significant management experience with a proven track record in the successful management of staff and other resources. Experience of managing and monitoring a budget, including future planning and the delivery of saving targets, proven track record of partnership and collaborative working internal and external to the organisation.You will have an understanding and experience of organisational development and the creation of effective, high performing teams. Experience of strategic thinking across a functional or service area including the redesign of services, experience of managing and implementing change, linked to continuous improvement and accountability for performance is essential.
You will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, proven written and verbal communications skills support effective negotiation, influencing, involvement and engagement.
You will have sound analytical, IT and financial management skills, ability to compose clear, accurate and relevant reports, meeting deadlines and delivering within resources allocated along with the ability to set standards and monitor the implementation of these.
You will have the ability to access risk and demonstrate affective decision making.
You will have the ability to cover the geographical area covered by Health and Social Care Partnership with appropriate level of registration with professional body and be prepared to work hours according to operational needs of service.
