What skills and experience we're looking for
Newhouse Academy is looking for a School Site Supervisor who is, as we describe, one of “our people”.
As the site supervisor at Newhouse Academy you will manage a small number of support staff including Premises and facilities assistants, our cleaner in charge and our community lettings assistant; setting high standards; and ensuring compliance at every level. You will receive a full induction, and support will be provided across the school and Trust.
Recent school Improvements have only been achieved by working together on a clear vision and looking after our biggest asset, our staff.
We started with WHY? Why should you want to work at Newhouse? The answer is, our people.
We come to work to support our students and fellow colleagues. We create an environment of high expectations that means our people treat each other with respect. If you have a bad day, we have your back. We work hard together and develop leaders that in turn develop other leaders, both at staffing and student level.
In May 2025 our people said;
“This is hand-on-heart the best school I have ever worked at, and cannot see myself working anywhere else. The staff are incredible, I feel supported, I love my teaching space, I love the kids and when something goes wrong, we fix it together and nothing is too much hassle.”
“I feel supported by our Senior Leadership Team and have progressed my career (with support) since starting at Newhouse - I would definitely recommend Newhouse as a good place to work.”
We warmly encourage you to make an appointment to come in and have a look round. The Headteacher, Alex Burnham, is more than willing to meet you and talk you through our journey and the vision for the future.
Do you want to be part of the team that takes Newhouse Academy to the next phase in its journey? Come and have a look, what do you have to lose?
“Doing the right thing for our people!”
