What skills and experience we're looking for

Would you like to teach and discuss science with motivated students who enjoy learning? Would you like to join an extremely successful team of science specialists as they continue to develop and innovate? Would you like the opportunity to teach classes in the Sixth Form?

We seek to appoint a teacher of Science from September 2025 to join a highly successful and motivated department in an outstanding school. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs, and from teachers looking for a full time role. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Science at Key Stage 3 and preferably Chemistry at Key Stage 4 or 5.

What the school offers its staff

Science is an extremely popular subject at Bexley Grammar School. All students study separate sciences at Key Stage 4 and all three are popular at Key Stage 5. Science is an integral part of our thriving Sixth Form, with many students going on to study Medicine and science-related subjects at university.

Bexley Grammar School is an oversubscribed, high achieving, coeducational selective school, rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in October 2022.
