An Administrator is essential for any school to run smoothly – you can use your skills to play a vital part in ensuring our pupils get the support they need.

Our Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to work in our Inclusion Office. We need a skilled, organised administrator who has strong planning and time management, and the confidence to work under their own initiative.

As we are a North Yorkshire Council maintained school, we are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, whatever their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. The Local Authority publishes its Local Offer which provides information for children and young people with special educational needs (SEND) and their parents or carers in a single place.

You will work closely with our SENCO and North Yorkshire Council to ensure our Inclusion offering runs smoothly and our pupils are getting the support they need. You will also be a friendly, supportive face for our SEN parents and carers.

Key Duties

• Oversee maintenance of SEN Sharepoint
• Support the SENCO in overseeing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHC Plan) annual reviews
• Update EHCP documents
• Manage consults from North Yorkshire Council for SEN children
• Source and distribute SEN learning plans to parents
• Email learning plans and EHCP's to secondary schools for transition
• Pick up all inclusion emails relating to SEND and disseminate / delegate to correct people
• Ad hoc inclusion clerical projects directed by the SENCO

Working in our school is incredibly rewarding. Our support staff are highly regarded, and we pride ourselves on developing our support colleagues to excel and further develop their career through specialised training and career paths.

We encourage applications from candidates who have a passion for education and wish to work in a setting which offers reward and challenge. A resilient, robust and positive mindset are required.

What the school offers its staff

• A school with a renewed focus that puts pastoral and nurture provision at its heart and an aspirational outlook for our children
• Happy, enthusiastic children who are thriving and have a thirst for learning
• Clear and tailored CPD for all staff
