What skills and experience we're looking for
We are currently seeking a PE Technician to support our PE delivery and assist with extra-curricular activities and duties, clubs and fixtures. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sport and have experience of coaching and motivating young people to achieve the best they can.
The role includessupporting as a PE Coach, 3 mornings a week, with the delivery of PE lessons to children from year 1 to year 6, as well as supporting after school sports clubs and fixtures. The successful candidate will work closely with two other PE coaches who are based at Hinchley Wood School. The team meet weekly to plan lessons and share good practice.
The school’s facilities include a large MUGA, an additional Astro space and a new shared indoor space. The school also has good field space and works closely with Hinchley Wood School, which grounds are adjacent, utilising their facilities when possible. Sport has a strong visual presence in the school which is recognised and celebrated at all ages.
We are looking for someone with good leadership and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a supportive team. A current, clean driving license would be advantageous. Further details on the role and requirements can be found in the job profile.
