What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and committed Male PE Teacher to join our thriving secondary school, who can inspire young people to achieve their full potential, both in PE lessons and on the sports field. You will have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students of all abilities.
In addition to PE, the ability to teach Humanities would be a strong advantage, although this is not essential.
This is an exciting opportunity because we are committed to providing all students with opportunities to enjoy sport, challenge themselves physically, and develop leadership skills.
This position offers the chance to play a key role in shaping the next generation of confident, active and ambitious young people
What the school offers its staff
You will be joining a well-established PE department with a track record of excellence in both teaching and sporting achievement. The team is collaborative, innovative, and highly supportive, with a shared ethos of inclusivity and high standards.
Regular team planning, CPD opportunities, and a broad extracurricular programme are central to the department’s success.
You will be joining a school which invests in all its staff through subject specific CPD and places great emphasis on its own programme of professional growth.
This is a position that will offer you a platform to make a real difference both to the students you will inspire.
Commitment to safeguarding
The Birkenhead Park School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Applications will only be considered when submitted on a fully completed application form. All applicants will be considered on the basis of suitability for the post regardless of age, sex, race or disability.
