Summary
Title: FLT Counterbalance / FLT / Warehouse Operative The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client, based in Millbrook, Southampton.
Duties to include, but not limited to: Operating a Counterbalance truck to load and unload lorries and trailers Moving stock into the warehouse and storing safely Picking and packing customer orders Working on the bench, assisting to manufacture worktops Assisting with all general warehouse duties Maintaining health and safety standards Previous warehouse experience, as well as a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence, are essential to be considered for this role. The role is physically demanding, so please can we ask that all applicants are physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting. Any candidates who do not meet this criteria will not be considered.
This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position, on a temp-to-perm basis. The company will offer a permanent contract after 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.
The working hours are Monday 06:30 - 17:00, Tuesday 06:30 - 16:30, Wednesday 06:30 - 16:30, Thursday 06:30 - 16:30 and Friday 06:30 - 15:00.
All hours after 08:00 are paid at £12.60 per hour, and all hours before 08:00 are paid at £18.90 per hour.
