Are you an exceptional HLTA with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with SEMH?

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong background in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join a dedicated team at a primary school in Hampshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment, directly impacting the academic and personal growth of children who thrive with specialised support. You'll be instrumental in delivering engaging learning experiences, supporting positive behaviour, and implementing SEMH strategies.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds HLTA status and has significant experience working with primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Possesses proven expertise and a deep understanding of SEMH strategies, interventions, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Is skilled in leading learning activities, supporting small groups, and working effectively with individual pupils.
  • Is resilient, empathetic, and committed to promoting the well-being and academic progress of every child.
  • Has excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with pupils, parents, and a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and passionate about making a tangible difference in young lives.
