The Role:

As Foreman, you will:

  • Lead and supervise a team of operatives on various general civils and infrastructure projects. These projects may include but are not limited to: earthworks, drainage, roadworks, groundwork's, and utilities.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule and budget.
  • Manage materials and resources effectively.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve on-site issues and problems effectively.
  • Ensure that all work complies with the project specifications and drawings.
  • Promote a positive and productive working environment within your team.

What We're Looking For:

  • A proven track record as a Foreman or similar role within the civil engineering industry.
  • Extensive experience in general civils and infrastructure projects, encompassing a range of activities such as earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and utilities.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
