Morgan Hunt is proud to be working with a leading college in the Cornwall area to recruit a dedicated and inspiring Specialist English Teacher for their St Austell campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified educator to play a vital role in shaping the English curriculum and supporting learners' success.



The Opportunity

This is a part-time permanent position (18.5 hours per week across 52 weeks) within the English and Mathematics team. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality Functional Skills and GCSE English lessons, supporting students to reach their full potential through innovative teaching and a supportive learning environment.




You'll manage your own groups of learners and contribute to the development of a dynamic, learner-focused curriculum that prepares students for further education, training, or employment.



What You'll Need
  • A Level 4/5 subject specialism in English, or a relevant degree with Level 3 English
  • A full teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or DET)
  • Experience teaching English to 14-19-year-olds, with a record of successful outcomes
  • Familiarity with GCSE and Functional Skills assessment criteria
  • Strong communication, planning and team collaboration skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive learning practices
