Working as a staff grade doctor could lead towards the required threshold for a SAS and Specialty Doctor contract in the future, ultimately achieving Specialist in Emergency Medicine (subject to all thresholds being met). Support in undertaking any additional activities of choice, such as fellowships in research, clinical education, ultrasound etc. These could help diversify the candidates portfolio and enhance their profile in any direction their steer their career. The shift pattern typically is a mix of early, mid- and late shifts, as well as night shifts and weekends, on average 40 hours/ week.
