Are you passionate about making a positive and lasting difference for some of our most vulnerable children and young people?
Are you an looking for a new challenge as a Team Manager? Then come and join our evolving workforce in our Assessment Team.
Our Assessment Teams work to ensure that children in care receive the best possible support, Social Work teams prioritise working with families to ensure that where ever possible children can remain living in their family or wider network and where this is not possible Assessment teams intervene at the first point to assess situations and ensure safety is in place.
You will have good knowledge and understanding of children’s safeguarding work so that you can provide clear management oversight and effective decision making in order to meet our children’s needs in a timely way, ensuring that the best outcomes are achieved. An ability to challenge effectively and support the workforce enabling them to deliver excellent practice whilst prioritising competing demands is essential. You will also need to manage and coordinate work activities in line with the service priorities, along with developing effective partnership arrangements with all appropriate stakeholders, always with the children and family’s needs at the heart.
It is really important to us that Hull is a great place to be a child and grow up; a place of opportunity where young people are able to live happy and productive lives and a place where young people will want to live and work in the future.
You’ll need a degree or diploma in Social Work, full Social Work England registration and a proven ability to work in partnership with children, young people, parents, carers, and partners.
