Are you an experienced leader in children’s residential care, ready to take on a fresh and exciting challenge?
Purosearch is proud to be partnering with a highly respected organisation to recruit a Children’s Home Manager for a brand-new home in Leeds, supporting children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a new service from the ground up — bringing your expertise, passion, and vision to life in a rewarding environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Leading the setup and successful registration of a new children’s home
• Building and nurturing a high-performing team through strong leadership and staff development
• Setting clear objectives, conducting reviews, and driving continuous improvement
• Promoting a culture of collaboration with young people and their families
• Ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and wellbeing at all times
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role (e.g., Deputy Manager or equivalent)
• Proven experience working with children in residential care, including those with challenging behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• Full UK driving licence – essential
• A compassionate, resilient, and flexible leader with a genuine desire to improve young lives
