An exciting opportunity has arisen a highly motivated experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Physiotherapist who enjoys a challenge to join our acute in-patient Therapies Service on a fixed term contract back filling a vacancy due to internal secondment. You will be based at North Middlesex Hospital in the Admission Avoidance Team , which covers ED and the acute medical wards You will be working alongside other Physiotherapists , Occupational Therapists and Nurses in the team to facilitate admission avoidance and/or early timely discharges.
Please note- This is a fixed term contract until 30th November 2025
• To perform highly specialist physiotherapy assessments and develop treatment & management programmes for patients with acute and chronic conditions maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.
• To participate in the education and training of staff grade Physiotherapists, Technicians, Assistants, Students and other Healthcare Profession
• To deputise for the Team Leader Physiotherapist in their absence.
• To participate in the 7-day service rota
• To participate in the emergency on call respiratory rota
• To supervise less senior staff
• To participate in the audit and research process quality improvement
• To work in an integrated manner with Occupational Therapists / Nurses to improve patient care

The 0-19 service aims to improve pathways and partnerships with services in the hospital and deliver excellent care for the children and families.

To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care. To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management, and support more junior staff to do likewise.
To interpret and analyse complex clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate diagnoses and prognoses in a wide range of complex conditions, to recommend the best course of intervention, and to develop comprehensive discharge plans.
