IT Systems Support Engineer

Location: Abergavenny | Full-Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced IT professional with a strong background in supporting infrastructure and manufacturing systems? We're recruiting for an IT Systems Support Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing IT operations that support high-quality, timely production within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing systems and associated infrastructure

  • Maintain and manage server, desktop, and network environments

  • Ensure optimal system performance with minimal disruption

  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network security

  • Develop reports and minor applications to resolve operational issues

  • Collaborate on system strategy, planning, and improvement initiatives

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

  • Windows Server 2012 and newer

  • Windows 10 / 11 support

  • Active Directory management

  • SQL Server (2008+): administration and query writing

  • Hands-on hardware maintenance (servers and PCs)

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

Desirable Skills:

  • Application development using C# / .NET

  • Dynamics AX 2009 functional experience

  • Microsoft 365 administration
