We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in a home care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of senior care, particularly in relation to dementia care. The Deputy Manager will support the overall management of the facility, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained while fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Duties

Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the office, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Manage and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to uphold effective practices.
Develop and implement individualised care plans for service users, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
Foster a culture of compassion and respect among staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Conduct regular assessments of service users' health and wellbeing, collaborating with healthcare professionals as necessary.
Ensure that all documentation related to home care is accurate and up-to-date.
Participate in training and development initiatives for staff to enhance their skills in senior care and dementia care.
Carry out out-of-hours on-call support on a rotational basis
Posses good delegating skills
The ability to ensure work and life balance is managed fairly and ensure no one is over worked
Complete weekly Office structured tasks alongside the manager
Provide cover of the manager when manager is off
Carry out compliancy and audits in readiness of regulated inspections
Must posses good communication skills
Qualifications

Proven experience in a managerial role within a or home care environment is essential.
Strong background in management, with relevant qualifications in healthcare or social care.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team effectively.
Knowledge of dementia care practices and the ability to implement appropriate strategies for residents.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and regulatory requirements related to senior care.
A compassionate approach to care and support, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for service users.
