To co-ordinate and provide skilled clinical practise (without direct supervision) to patients, in accordance with responsibilities under NMC/HCPC Code of Conduct. To contribute to the continued development of Nurses/Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs), including the supervision of junior nurses/ODPs and support staff. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based clinical care to a group of patients. Assist and contribute to the management and organisation of a theatre or department. Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing/ODP care. Actively participate in the education, development and supervision of other staff members. Act as a clinical and professional role model, mentoring, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area. Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. You will providing outstanding care, taking a successful multi-disciplinary approach. You will work alongside a large team of talented individuals including medical, surgical, anaesthetic and intensive care teams, allied health professionals, pharmacists and many more.
