Are you a skilled Fabric Maintenance Engineer looking to work on a prestigious commercial site in the heart of London? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Facilities Management (FM) Service Provider based at a high-profile, blue-chip office complex in Moorgate.
We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive individual with a broad skill set and a solid background in commercial building maintenance. If you're passionate about delivering a top-tier service and enjoy a varied workload, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across a large static site.
- Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating duties.
- Minor repairs including furniture assembly, lock changes, hinge tightening, blind installation/repair.
- Support office moves and internal churns (e.g., moving desks, assembling furniture).
- Provide technical assistance and support to other on-site engineers when needed.
- Ensure all maintenance is delivered to high-quality standards in line with Health & Safety regulations.
- Liaise with the helpdesk and management team to update on job progress and any issues.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed by all staff and contractors on site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial property/building maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of general fabric duties: basic plumbing, carpentry, painting/decorating, etc.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- PC literate (basic use of Word, Excel, smartphone apps).
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
