We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Lead to join our team at our supported living service in the City of Redcar
Reporting to the Deputy Manager, the purpose of a Service Lead is to lead a cluster of support services that provides agreed level of support to the people we support, in order to achieve their individual goals, and to lead a full and productive lives as valued member of their community.
As a Service lead would be responsible for the management of 2 supported living services and a small outreach service in the Managers absence within Redcar.
You would be responsible for completing rotas and carrying out staff supervision attending reviews with People we Support and updating support plans, risk assessments, completing medication audits, finance audits and ensuring that all PWS are safeguarded with support from the Manager.
We are looking for someone with creative experience, to act as a role model for our staff teams and take some responsibility for the day to day running of the activities undertaken at the service. You will be required to attend, participate and lead within team meetings and service user reviews, ensure medication procedures are in place, activity timetables are upheld and updates as well as ensuring service users are supported appropriately. You will be required to undertake specified, managerial responsibilities which contribute to the overall management of the support services provided. You will be required to support on shift where needed to meet the needs of the people we support. Working hours are flexible to the needs of the people we support but may in the future include evenings and weekends .
You will play a key role in the assessment of service users and the development of a Person Centred Plan. You will help facilitate the participation of all support workers in implementation of the agreed plan.
You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including evenings, weekends and also cover sleepovers
you will be working 80% of hours on shift and 20% off shift completing admin work, however due to the needs of the service you may need to work 100% on shift at times.
Level 3 in health and social care would be a requirement and driver would be desireable.
Experience in leading a staff team would be an advantage.
It is essential that you have the following experience:-
Demonstrable track record of working with people with learning disabilities in an enabling environment.
Good understanding and commitment to the principles of Person Centred Care.
Understanding of the needs of people of the relevant service use group, e.g. Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Complex Care, Autism etc.
You will be supporting our Service Users to achieve their individual goals and lead full and productive lives as valued members of their community, while ensuring services provided adhere to Real Life Options' values.
