We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our team in a vibrant nursery setting.
The successful candidate will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about working with children, planning engaging experiences across the age ranges and ensuring the highest standards of care for the children.
You will be required to have an excellent knowledge of the Statutory EYFS, Development Matters and Birth to Five Matters.
You will need experience in excellent leading a team and supporting the manager, effective communication abilities, and a drive to foster a nurturing environment for both staff and children.
Key elements of the role:
- Supporting the Nursery Manager
- Ensuring that safeguarding procedures are adhered to
- Lead and motivate staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development
- Showing around prospective parents
- Managing the nursery in the Nursery Manager's absence
- Ensuring that the nursery environment is always kept to a high standard
- Supporting staff with planning and creating an enriching environment
- Liaising with other professionals and always maintain confidence
Experience:
- Have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare
- Minimum of 2 years experience in nursery leadership either as a Team Leader or Deputy Manager
- SENCo training preferred but not essential
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is highly desirable
