We're looking for a passionate and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teacher to make a real difference in the lives of children in the Barnsley area. Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students.
- Assess and record students' progress, and prepare reports to keep parents and guardians informed.
- Collaborate with other teachers, professionals, and parents to support student learning and well-being.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) to cater to each student's needs.
- Participate in school events, training, and staff meetings as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a focus on special educational needs.
- Proven experience as an SEND Teacher or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while maintaining a positive approach.
- Creative thinking and flexibility to adapt to the unique challenges of SEND education.
