Are you a passionate and experienced teacher who thrives on making a difference? We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teacher for Children with Additional Needs to join a supportive, specialist setting in the King's Lynn area.
In this role, you'll teach pupils aged either 4 - 11 or 11 - 16 with a range of needs including SEN and SEMH. If you're committed to inclusive education and want to be part of a nurturing school community, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a broad curriculum
Adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN and SEMH
Lead and support Teaching Assistants and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants
Uphold school policies including safeguarding and equality
Monitor academic and emotional progress, providing targeted support
Build strong, positive relationships with students and families
What We're Looking For:
QTS or QTLS (essential); ECTs are encouraged to apply
Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN and using EHCPs
Excellent knowledge of curriculum planning for SEND learners
Understanding of strategies to support anxiety and SEMH needs
Creative, adaptable teaching approach tailored to individual learning styles
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to rural areas near King's Lynn)
About the Role:
You'll be teaching in small, well-supported classes of up to 10 pupils, with at least three staff in each classroom. Students may present with autism spectrum conditions, communication and interaction difficulties, dyslexia, or SEMH barriers.
This role is perfect for a nurturing, resilient teacher who thrives in a holistic and inclusive setting. You'll deliver engaging lessons, adapt to student needs, and work closely with dedicated school teams, including onsite clinicians and experienced leadership.
