What skills and experience we're looking for

• A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of pupils.
• Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
• Teaching assistant qualification or equivalent

Further details about the role

You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to individual pupils, tailoring your approach to their specific needs, leading 1:1 and small group activities to reinforce learning and develop social skills. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans. You will be able to create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters a love of learning and build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Hours are 30 per week, to be worked Monday - Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm, term time only.
