About the role
• Act as the school’s Operational Safeguarding Lead (OSL), ensuring full compliance with statutory safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Support the DSL to maintain and develop safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring that all staff are well-trained and confident in their responsibilities.
• Support the DSL for safeguarding matters, liaising with external agencies such as social services, CAMHS, and the local authority.
• Support the DSL to enhance and guard a safeguarding culture where early identification of concerns is embedded, and intervention strategies are seamlessly integrated across pastoral and academic structures.
Commitment to safeguarding
The David Ross Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo vetting appropriate to the post, including a social media presence check and Enhanced DBS check. The successful applicant will be expected to adhere to all safeguarding, welfare and health and safety policies and procedures of the Trust.
