Havencourt Care Home is situated in the picturesque town of Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, on Scotland’s beautiful northeast coast. We provide Residential, Nursing, and Dementia care for up to 42 residents

Hours: Bank / As and When Required
Salary: £12.21 per hour

We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Domestic & Kitchen Assistant to join our bank staff, supporting both domestic and kitchen operations within our care home.

As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, while also providing valuable support in our kitchen to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently to residents.

Key Responsibilities
Domestic Duties:

  • Carry out thorough cleaning across all areas of the care home, in line with company policies and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and fittings are clean and well-maintained.
  • Manage waste disposal and maintain sanitary areas with care and attention.
  • Support the laundry service, ensuring residents’ clothing and bedding are handled correctly, cleaned, and returned safely.

Kitchen Assistance:

  • Assist with general food preparation and kitchen cleaning.
  • Maintain cleanliness of food service areas and follow all food hygiene regulations.
  • Help with meal service to residents, promoting a positive dining experience.

General:

  • Work collaboratively with the care team to support the well-being of residents.
  • Follow all health & safety and infection control procedures.
  • Be flexible and responsive to the needs of the home and team.

  • A keen eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A warm and respectful attitude towards residents and colleagues.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable, but full training will be provided.
