We are proud to be supporting one of our long standing manufacturing clients with their search for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
Within this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the required levels of production are achieved by maintaining plant and equipment to the required standards. Alongside, dealing with breakdowns and proving out of hours cover.
Role
- To carry out planned and non-routine maintenance, including breakdown rectification at the site, utilising appropriate testing regimes.
- Liaise with management to report any obvious maintenance anomalies and to be familiar with the latest instructions and procedures.
- Recommend alterations and improvements for enhanced operation.
- Contribute to the installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant.
- Provide assistance and work flexibly (with due regard to competence, capability and knowledge) with site staff and tradesmen.
- Operating forklift truck
- Control of lifting equipment
Person
- Recognised apprenticeship or electrical trade qualification
- Strong engineering knowledge - Testing, fault finding, knowledge of PLC systems
- Experience of an industrial production environment
- Knowledge of welding, metal work and fabrication is advantageous.
- Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative or as part of a team
- Have a can-do attitude
