Job Title: Senior P6 Planner (HV Substations)
Location: Pembrokeshire
Contract Type: Contract - CIS
Contract Length: 6 month rolling (Hybrid)
Our client is looking for an experienced P6 Planner to join the team and hit the ground running, candidates will ideally have a strong EPC Project Planning background with expert knowledge of P6 and experience working on HV Substation builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of project control methodologies and associated systems such as Primavera P6, MSP, and other systems
- Providing a range of project control services, including implementing planning controls, scheduling and prioritisation, monitoring and reporting
- Responsible for schedule management and earned value management
- Build tender schedules for substation projects, interpreting drawings and client information to understand the construction sequence
- Build design schedules with the design team
- Analysis and evaluation of schedule management involving the critical path of scheduling techniques
- Impact analysis of delays and change events, and implementation of agreed Compensation Events
- Support the risk management process
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulation, standards, and protocols
- Contribute to relevant professional bodies and industry groups
- Interact with clients and colleagues to achieve project objectives
- Manage multiple projects and conflicting deadlines
- Work autonomously and/or as part of a project team
- Identifying new skills and competencies required to meet business needs
- Understand the company's Health & Safety and Environmental (SHE) Policies and Processes and statutory requirements
- Travel and undertake site visits as required
- Produce reports or provide information in a timely manner
- Support our clients to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in building, developing, and managing schedules for high voltage substation projects
- Understanding of the design process and construction sequence for HV substations
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card
- Primavera P6 qualification or relevant experience
- Relevant degree level qualification is desirable
