Summary
Afterschool Club Manager – Ofsted Nominated Individual
A well-established and welcoming afterschool club is seeking a passionate and capable Manager to lead its provision and act as the Ofsted Nominated Individual. This role would suit someone with previous leadership experience in a childcare setting who’s ready to take the next step. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operation of the club during term time and holidays
• Ensure all activities are engaging, safe, and aligned with EYFS principles
• Take responsibility for Ofsted compliance and serve as the Nominated Individual
• Supervise and support a small team of playworkers
• Promote positive relationships with children, families, and the local school
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding procedures
Essential Requirements:
• Level 2 or higher childcare qualification (Level 3 desirable)
• Experience in a similar childcare setting or leadership role
• Confident understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
Must be currently Ofsted registered Eligibility to serve as the Ofsted Nominated Individual• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS check a must [North East England / Local Area]
Monday to Friday: 2.30pm – 6.00pm (term time)
School holidays: 8.00am – 6.00pm
