Our canteen is a lively hub at the heart of the school, and we’re looking for two enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our dedicated catering team.The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our school’s catering service. Working under the guidance of the Catering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with basic food preparation and service
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen
Operating the dishwasher and cleaning kitchen equipment
Supporting stock deliveries and rotation
Using a computerised till and providing friendly service to students and staff
Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standardsWhat We’re Looking For
We’re seeking reliable, flexible, and friendly individuals who enjoy working as part of a team. You should have:
Good communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Physical and emotional stamina for a busy school environment
A willingness to undertake training and support occasional after-school events
Desirable: Previous experience in food preparation, basic food hygiene certificate, and awareness of health and safety in a catering setting.Closing date: 9am Friday 4th July 2025Interview date to be confirmed
