Crynodeb
Administration of BCG vaccine to newborn babies in accordanace with the KPI set by NHSe. Refer appropriately to the TB nurse as needed. Ensure training for administration is updated as needed and administering the vaccine under the PGD. Correct process when preparing the vaccine prior to administration and ensure safe storage once the vaccine as been reconstituted. Monitoring of fridge temperatures to avoid any cold chain incidents and the ability to report any vaccination errors/cold chain incidnets via the incident process. Documenting administration on all databases that are used and ensuring eligibility at time of vaccination/when booking of appointment.
