SALARY: £31,095 - £32,009 pro rata + Benefits
LOCATION: Hybrid / some home working available. Must live within a commutable distance to Mexborough, Doncaster, South Yorkshire
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 18.5 Hours per Week, including Friday

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Project Worker who has an understanding of housing related support and experience of working with vulnerable groups including child/adult safeguarding procedures.
The charity provides a high standard of Housing Related Support that really makes a difference to the lives of women, children and families in Doncaster.
Working as the Senior Project Worker you will have the empathy, compassion and professionalism to support families, as well as a “can do” attitude, and the ability to thrive in a high challenge environment.
As the Senior Project Worker you will work with voluntary and statutory sector partners and other stakeholders to provide an outstanding service to the people the charity support, and to maintain their excellent reputation and standards.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Senior Project Worker include:
• Assist with the management of the service, supporting the project manager to ensure that all practices, polices and procedures comply with legislation and regulations, the charities and Ofsted quality standards, health and safety requirements and adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures
• Line management and support of staff, providing supervision, sickness meetings, wellbeing support, training and development, support with performance reviews
• Support with the recruitment and induction process for staff, bank workers, students and volunteers
• Oversee quality and progress of Early Help assessments, risk assessing and case management
• Monitoring of housing benefit and other payment processes
• Monitor targets to meet service outcomes and requirements
• Carry out auditing processes to include internal training, file audits and information logged on the case record management system
• Promote the charity to all relevant stakeholders by participating in media and publicity campaigns and support the project manager
• Support with the management of the housing element of the service, ensuring that the provision of accommodation for the client group complies with statutory requirements, standards and practice expectations
• Oversight of the referral process to ensure that referrals to the service are dealt with efficiently
• Contribute to the organisations fundraising strategy and raise funds to support the charity in a planned way as designated by the CEO
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Relevant experience/education (essential):
• Educated to level 5 or equivalent (or willing to work towards in a relevant field. DipSW, CSS, CQSW or similar would be desirable
• Experience of working with vulnerable groups and experience of working with child / adult safeguarding procedures is essential
Skills, knowledge and ability (essential):
• An understanding of housing related support
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with families, staff and a range of professionals to effectively represent the organisation
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to equality of opportunity and anti-oppressive practice
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent organisation and decision-making skills
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Accurate record keeping abilities
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of data protection legislation and requirements
