Are you an experienced Ground Worker looking for a new challenge? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with a well-established Civil Engineering company specialising in ground and base works primarily within the sports industry.
Role:
You will perform various manual labour tasks to support construction and maintenance projects including, excavation works, setting kerbs and edgings, placement and finishing of concrete to paths, ramps and hardstanding areas. You will be required to operate hand tools and power equipment as necessary. While on site you will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of awareness for Health, Safety, Welfare and Security matters and in this respect, you are expected to lead by example and take a pro-active approach. This role offers the opportunity for growth and advancement within our company.
Requirements:
• Previous experience of groundworks ideally within a civil engineering, aggregates, asphalt or concrete environment.
• Hold a valid CSCS Labourer Card as minimum - Blue Card or higher preferred
• Willingness to undertake various other aspects of construction and civils as required
• Ability to perform physical labour in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
• Good knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Flexible with times and days.
• Prepared to work away from home (Monday-Friday)
Skills:
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate completion of tasks to high quality standards
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks
• Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment safely
