Neway International are looking for a Public Health Nuisance & Noise Officer to join our client based with Barnet Council.
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week Start Date: 29th June 2025 End Date: 21st September 2025 Rate: PAYE £39.73 per hour / Umbrella Ltd £54.74 per hour
Barnet Council is looking for a Public Protection Officer to help reduce noise, nuisance, and public health risks for residents and workers. This role is ideal for an experienced environmental enforcement professional looking to contribute to community well-being through proactive investigations and compliance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate nuisance complaints related to noise, smoke, odour, and light pollution.
Address public health concerns, including drainage, refuse, and pest control.
Conduct frontline witnessing visits to gather evidence of breaches.
Ensure compliance with environmental health regulations and enforcement procedures.
Requirements:
Documents required upon submission: CV, Photo ID, Proof of Address, Eligibility to work, Criminal Convictions Declaration.
Screening Criteria: Experience in investigating statutory nuisances, enforcement, and caseload management.
Skills: Advanced legal knowledge of environmental enforcement, environmental protection expertise, and working knowledge of nuisance-related issues.
