Crynodeb
To be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of podiatric care for patients within a team caseload with specialised care needs To employ the use of specialist techniques and care programmes in the treatment of patients To act as a lead clinician providing specialist advice to and accepting referrals from both podiatrists within the department and clinicians in other fields To provide appropriate podiatric health education to patients and carers To ensure that all interventions are designed using, where possible, evidence based practice and to evaluate outcomes To work across acute, community and primary health care sectors as part of a multidisciplinary team with direct input to patient care, often highly complex individual cases, and acting as a source of advice to medical colleagues, other health care professionals, patients and carers To be responsible for the maintenance of appropriate documentation for patient records, reports, audits and Departmental standards
